Wilder began his career on stage, and his cinematic debut in 1967 in the sensational film ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ (Bonnie and Clyde), where Gene played one of the hostages.

He was married to actress Gilda Radner (Gilda Radner). Her death from ovarian cancer has led to the fact that Wilder took an active part in the founding of the Center named Gilda Radner in Los Angeles (Los Angeles).

In 1999, Gene was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but in March 2005 it became clear that the disease went into complete remission.
