He studied fine arts and drama in schools in Los Angeles. He studied at Yale University.

Artistic career began at age 10, speaking with humorous scenes in clubs in California. Since 1997, already had its own agent. Soon, the young actor was invited to Disney Channel, becoming popular in the weekly comedy shows, television movies. In 12 years, starred in the television movie “Breakfast with Einstein” (1998). Finally, Shea received critical acclaim for for his role in the independent film “Guide to Recognizing Your Saints” (“A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints”), which is at the film festival “Sundance” in 2006 won the Special Jury Prize for “Best Acting duet” and award in the category “Best Director of the drama.” In this film, LaBeouf played a character on a par with Robert Downey Jr..
