When, in the mid-70s American television showed serials adaptation of the novel of Irwin Shaw “rich man, poor man,” most viewers liked the racket, and kind unlucky Tom Jorda, although his role was played by an unknown actor to anyone. One of the last significant works Nolte was the role of the lawyer in the thriller M. Scorsese’s “Cape Fear” (1991). He plays the head of an “ideal” American Family, which promotes the punishment man tried to rape a woman. The offender, released from prison, takes revenge on him, skillfully playing on the fact that the hero does not believe his wife and precocious sexuality is concerned about her daughter …
