Arthur Christopher Orme Plummer was born December 13, 1929 in Toronto. His mother was the granddaughter of the Prime Minister of Canada, John Abbott, and his father – the dean of the university. Plummer grew up with his mother since his parents divorced when he was young. Having a good ear for music and data Plummer quite seriously interested in music and even planned to become a pianist, but at school all of a sudden, after several appearances in school productions, he became interested in theater.
As a young man, he traveled to Canada with a theater company and has already picked up to 25 years of rich experience in acting, but play a major role entrusted to him only in 1954. During his theatrical career Plummer starred in a variety of classic productions. He played Mr. Darcy from “Pride and Prejudice”, directed by Mark Antony, “Julius Caesar,” King Henry V of the same name directed by Benedict of “Much Ado About Nothing,” Iago in “Othello”, King Lear, and many others. But most of all he conquered his flawless execution role of Shakespeare’s Hamlet in a television version in 1964.

To many his films Plummer wrote soundtracks. In 2008 he published a book of his memoirs with Plummer.
