English actor, winner of the ‘Golden Globe’ (Golden Globe Award) for his role as an actor and playwright Noel Coward (No?l Coward) in the American film ‘Star!’ (Star!). Curiously, Coward was the godfather Daniel Massey. He is best known for the title role in the TV serial drama ‘Roads to Freedom’ (The Roads to Freedom), which starred Michael Bryant (Michael Bryant) and Daniel played one of the main characters.

Daniel first appeared on the big screen in the 1942 war drama “In Which We Serve ‘(In Which We Serve). After 26 years, in 1968, Massey has played most of Noel Coward and was awarded the job Golden Globe and received his only nomination for ‘Oscar’ (Oscar Award).

Massey was married three times and divorced twice. From 1961 to 1967 he was married to the actress of Italian origin Corrie Adrienne (Adrienne Corri) and from 1975 to 1984-th – the actress Penelope Wilton (Penelope Wilton). In 1987 they had a daughter, Alice (Alice Massey). Immediately after her divorce from Daniel Penelope married her sister Lindy Wilton (Lindy Wilton) and remained with her until the end of his days.
In the early 90s the actor was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease (also known as Hodgkin’s disease), March 25, 1998 Daniel Massey died at age 64 in London (London), and was buried in Putney Vale Cemetery.
