Youth
Laura Gaynor was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When she was a child, her family moved to San Francisco. After high school in 1923, Gloria decided to make a brilliant career. She began by saying that perbralas in Los Angeles, where she worked in a shoe store, getting $ 18 a week. Her role in the film “Seventh Heaven” (the first of the twelve films in which she dreamed with actor Charles Farrell), “Sunrise” and “Street Angel” (also with Charles Farrell), brought her “Oscar” in 1928. It was the only time in the history of the “Oscar” when given a reward for all the work of the actor for the year, and not only for a particular movie.

The Death
She died in 1984 at age 77, after a car accident in San Francisco, where the reckless driver, driving through a red light, hit a taxi, which was an actress. One of the passengers died, many were injured, including her husband, Paul Gregory, and her friend Mary Martin. Gaynor was never able to fully recover from this accident. She was buried in Hollywood.
