Born November 23, 1941 in San Prospero, Parma, Italy.

Real name – Francesco Sparanero.

He grew up in Bedonia and Milan in a family of police. Studied economics and commerce at the University of Milan. He graduated from the acting class in the Piccolo Theatre of Milan.

Franco Nero film debut was the film “Celestino” (1964, dir. Carlo
Lidzani). In 1965 he starred in the role of Abel in an action movie director John Huston’s “The Bible.” Successful was the work of a “western, Italian,” directed by Sergio Corbucci “Django” (1966). In the 60s starred in many westerns and adventure films. Among the significant works of Franco Nero in the 60s – roles in the films “I knew it” (1965, rezh.A. In the 70s and 80s actively acted in the political cinema of Italy, including films directed by Damiano Damiani.
