Malcolm McDowell (born. Malcolm McDowell; b. 1943, UK) – British film and theater actor. The most famous role – in the movie “A Clockwork Orange” (1971) by Stanley Kubrick.

Malcolm McDowell was born June 13, 1943 in Leeds, in the family bartender. In his youth, his father worked in a pub, and then – a traveling salesman. After passing the course of acting plays in provincial theaters. In 1964, he enters the company of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Since 1965 he has been working in television. In 1968 he starred in “If” directed by Lindsay Anderson. Later, McDowell played in his film “O Lucky Man” (1973).
The real actor gained popularity in 1971 after the filming of “A Clockwork Orange” by Stanley Kubrick. Perhaps this is his best role, where he even managed to elicit sympathy for his hero, a minor sadist and rapist Alex.
