Burl Ives (Burl Ives, full name – Burl Icle Ivanhoe Ives) was born in 1909 not far from Hunt City, Illinois (Hunt City, Illinois), the family of Levi Ives (Levi Ives) and Cordelia White (Cordelia White), except where he had 6 more children. In the mid-1930s Bёrl began performing live on radio in the state of Indiana (Indiana). Subsequently, the musician still received a bachelor’s degree, having studied for two years at the University of Indiana (Indiana State University).
In 1940, the musician began performing on the radio in his own show ‘The Wayfaring Stranger’, which was named in honor of his eponymous song. 1971 year was marked for divorce from musician Helen, but after a couple of months later, he married again; this time his choice was Dorothy Koster Paul (Dorothy Koster Paul).
In 1975, the University of Pennsylvania (University of Pennsylvania) has awarded a musician for his contribution to the music world.
April 14, 1995-year Burl Ives died from cancer at the age of 85 years. He was buried in his hometown Hunt City, Illinois.
