The actress was born on November 3, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas. At the age of five with his parents moved to St. Louis. He was educated at the University of Missouri, and then for two years as a teacher in a school for disabled children. There, she moved closer to the school director Robert Capshaw, in 1976, married him, and took her husband’s name. In the same year, Kathleen gave birth to a daughter Jessica, but four years later divorced her husband.
Then Kathleen, dreaming of a career of actress, moved to New York where he started acting in television commercials and take acting classes and singing. In 1982, she made her film debut starring in the romantic comedy “A little bit of sex,” and on television – in the drama “Missing Children: A Mother’s Story.”
In 1984, the actress was lucky. In the samples for the film “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” she walked 120 contestants and won the role of Willie Scott, canary nightclub in Shanghai and companion of the hero Harrison Ford. The film’s director, Steven Spielberg went on to become the second husband of the actress. They were married on October 12, 1991 and remain together until now. The couple has three biological children – son Sawyer, daughters Sasha and Destry – and two adopted children – Theo and Makaelu. In 1993, Keith took Judaism, the religion of her famous husband.
In the mid-80s Kate was enough demand. Her partner on the silver screen became Dennis Quaid in the thriller “Escape from sleep” (1984), Eddie Murphy and Dudley Moore in the comedy “The Best Defense” (1984), Richard Gere drama “The Power” (1986) and Jeroen Krabbe thriller Nicknamed “Dancer” (1987). But then she began to appear mainly in supporting roles (so, for example, was her participation in the 1994 melodrama “Love Story” with Warren Beatty and Annette Bening).
