David Tennant (born. David Tennant; pres. McDonald surname; b. 18 April 1971) – Scottish actor, most famous role – the tenth Doctor in the television series “Doctor Who.”
 
David MacDonald was born in the Scottish city of Bathgate family Presbyterian priest. David decided to become an actor at an early age (3 or 4 years). While still in school, he appeared on television. After high school, he enrolled at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. After graduating from the Academy McDonald plays in the theater (particularly in the productions of the Royal Shakespeare Company) and appeared on television. He chose his pseudonym by the name of Neil Tennant of the pop group Pet Shop Boys.
Tennant career in cinema began in 1994, but did not bring any results until the picture Mika Kaurismaki Los Angeles without a map (1998), where David played a modest and naive Scottish young man who came to the girl in Los Angeles.
