Teresa Wright was born on October 27, 1918 in Harlem, New York – in the family of Martha (nee Espy) and Arthur Wright. Teresa’s father worked as an insurance agent.
The aspiring actress grew up in Meplvude in New Jersey, and in 1938, the year graduated from Columbia High School (Columbia High School). After – Teresa returned to New York and began his acting career, starring in the film «Our Town», performing the role of Emily.
In the fall of 1939 Teresa Wright (Teresa Wright) played for the first time in a production «Life with Father», and later played the role of Mary Skinner in two years.
In the early forties, the actress has signed a five-year contract with Hollywood studios. By the way this agreement was virtually unique in its kind since it includes a lot of rather strange positions (for example, the actress could not take pictures at the beach with her hair, developing the wind).
Debuting in the film «The Little Foxes» – in 1941, the year – the actress was nominated for “Oscar” – in the category “Best Actress.” The next year, Teresa was again nominated for “Oscar” (again in the category “Best Actress”) – this time for taking part in the film «The Pride of the Yankees».
In 1943, Teresa Wright (Teresa Wright) collaborated with Alfred Hitchcock. She starred in the film «Shadow of a Doubt», and later shone in such films as «Casanova Brown» (1944), «The Best Years of Our Lives» (1946), «The Best Years of Our Lives» (1946) , «Enchantment» (1947), «Pursued» (1948), «The Men» (1950).
