Lionel Barrymore was born in the United States, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia – April 28, 1878 year. Father Lionel was once popular actor Maurice Berriomr, who once performed at the stage of Broadway stage (in 1905, the year his father was shot). In addition to Lionel’s family had two children – sister Ethel and brother John. At the time, the future actor was in a Roman Catholic school, secretly dreaming about art and all that was connected with it. Young Lionel was convinced that one day will be able to become a true professional and win the whole world.
In the end, all that happened.
At the beginning of his own acting career – approximately in the middle of the nineties of the nineteenth century – still quite inexperienced actor preparing for the presentation of his entourage, under the guidance of his grandmother. He was too young, but already removed.
At the beginning of the next century, Lionel Barrymore has actively participated in various performances (farces and revues). His talented performance did not go unnoticed.
Soon capable actor was invited to Broadway. Over the next seventeen years, Lionel perfectly played on the Broadway stage – with great success.
