America bids farewell to the hero of “The Magnificent Seven”
The last time Coburn appeared on screen in the role of a dying writer in the film “The Man with the Champs Elysees.”

November 19 at his home in Beverly Hills as a result of acute heart attack, died a famous American actor James Coburn (74), who played a major role in the legendary western “The Magnificent Seven” (1960). According to Coburn manager Hillard Elkins, the actor suffered a heart attack, but when he was taken to the hospital, doctors there was nothing could be done.
Coburn was born on August 31, 1928 in the town of Laurel, Nebraska. He studied acting at the studios on the East and West coasts of America, and in 1959 made his debut in cinema. The audience recognized his talent after tape-picture parody of James Bond “Our Man Flint”. After starring in the movie “Golden Girl”, released in 1979 and received “a great success” by all the Hollywood critics Coburn temporarily withdrew from filming due to frequent bouts of arthritis. In an interview, “the unemployed,” Coburn said period, the actors, are deprived of the possibility to act unbearably boring: they are all day hanging around the house and in the end, start drinking.
In the late 1990s, Coburn said that “cure”, and then started shooting.
