Iranian theater and film actress. Behzad Farahani director’s daughter and sister of actress Shagaye Farahani.

Began to play in the theater at the age of six years, 14 starred in the first film, immediately received the title of best actress at the Tehran film festival “Fajr”. Since then she has starred in more than a dozen films, almost all of which have won awards at various film festivals.

In February 2008, Farahani with Gemma Arterton was invited to London to audition for the role Tamina in “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”, but was arrested at the airport by the Iranian authorities because of his involvement in Ridley Scott’s “Body of Lies” (2008 ). For this actress banned from leaving the country for six months.
