Jamie Foxx was born on 13 December 1967, in Terrell, Texas – in the family of Louise Dixon and Darrell. Jamie’s father was a bishop, but sometimes worked as a stockbroker. Soon, the parent had converted to Islam and changed his own name to the Shaheed Abdul.
Shortly after the birth of the future actor Jamie’s grandmother took on the responsibility for raising grandchildren. Parents do it rarely, and Jamie almost could not remember their participation in his destiny. Jamie Foxx grew up as best he could – in a black quarter Terrell Texas, among the same children like him – presented themselves.
